Our Story

Founder, Jim Ecclestone, established Calstone in 1985 along with two business partners. For over 20 years, business grew steadily with the Mailroom Furniture and Modular Pack Bench lines. Business furniture was introduced in the late 80’s servicing the institutional marketplace. Strong customer relationships were cemented, and sales grew annually.

Jim’s twin daughters, Laura and Jamie, and son Matthew, who were already working in the business at that time, made a commitment to build the business together and assure their customers that they were staying in business for another generation.

Manifesto

We live in a world preoccupied with the virtual. The fleeting.

The disposable. Or readily replaceable.

Easy and convenient are too easy to see as correct. And far too easy to be correct.

But there’s something different about who we are.

There’s an air of permanence to the Calstone name.

It’s a part of who we are.

Rock-solid. Reliable. Lasting.

Those are the kinds of relationships we build. The kind that last a lifetime.

There is nothing disposable or replaceable about who we are and what we do.

We don’t see ourselves, our products or our relationships that way.

Because we don’t see the world we live in and work in that way.

There is nothing short-term about us.

As a "green" organization, we have conducted extensive research surrounding the importance of environmentally sound policies in everyday business practices.

We, The Ecclestone management team decided to develop the company around a new “environmental” philosophy that would not only set us apart from our competition but push us into the next chapter of business. As a “green” organization, we have conducted extensive research surrounding the importance of environmentally sound policies in everyday business practices. We have a commitment to reduce waste, harvest rainwater, power our operation with solar, recycle and reuse to work toward 0% of waste to landfill and only operate with sustainable materials. We are also focussed on our community and participate in community driven environmental projects that have received several awards and financial grants to further our environmental actions. We are passionate that we will inspire a new sensitivity about manufacturing and metal fabricating practices and in partnering with you we will encourage change and work towards a healthier and more sustainable tomorrow.

OEM at the forefront

As an OEM organization we are driven to design and engineer products to our customers specifications and requirements. We provide prototyping, fabrication and production, painting, assembly, packaging, and logistic services as a “one stop shop” mentality. We currently employ trade specific and educated team members who are experienced and skilled in their field or expertise. We work collectively to follow all ISO guidelines and manufacture products for our customers in a safe and inclusive work environment.

Calstone has partnered with Dehnco Equipment for over 35 years and together provide our customers with a full service. As Calstone is a fully OEM organization, Dehnco handles the sales and marketing of our products to the industry. They have skilled and experienced sales teams dedicated to developing and providing tailored solutions to our end users. “Dehnco, powered by Calstone” is your one stop shop for furniture / equipment solutions.
